Andrea Vicente Duran

SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY ASSISTANT / NEURO REHAB ASSISTANT

Andrea recently graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Westminster. She has a strong interest in neurorehabilitation, communication disorders, and Speech and Language Therapy, and is excited to further develop her clinical knowledge and practical skills through her work at Linguistic Resolutions.

Alongside her studies, Andrea gained several years of experience supporting children with diverse communication and developmental needs, including autism and speech delay. She worked closely with families to reinforce communication strategies, encourage social interaction, and create supportive, engaging environments tailored to each individual's needs.

Andrea also has experience supporting young people with visual impairments and additional neurological conditions through her work with specialist charities, where she collaborated with multidisciplinary professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists. In addition, she has personal experience supporting communication difficulties following stroke rehabilitation, which further strengthened her interest in adult neurorehabilitation and person-centred care.

Andrea is multilingual and speaks English, Spanish, Catalan, and Arabic at an A2 level, enabling her to communicate with individuals and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys running and endurance training and is currently training for an Ironman 70.3. She values resilience, consistency, and maintaining a positive mindset, both personally and professionally.

Andrea is very happy to be part of the team at Linguistic Resolutions and looks forward to contributing to the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while supporting individuals throughout their rehabilitation journey.
