Georgia Gvero

junior neuro speech and language therapist / SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY ASSISTANT

Georgia is a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist with an MSc from University College London and a BA in English Language and Linguistics from the University of York. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Georgia currently works in a specialist NHS inpatient neurorehabilitation unit in South West London, supporting adults with a wide range of acquired neurological conditions.

She has experience working with complex communication disorders including aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, dysphonia, and apraxia of speech. Georgia takes a person-centred, evidence-based approach to therapy, helping clients work towards meaningful goals and regain confidence in their communication.

Georgia is a member of both the Acquired Brain Injury and Aphasia Therapy Clinical Excellence Networks (CENs) to ensure that the therapy she provides is reflective of current research and clinical guidelines.

As the current Health and Wellbeing champion within her NHS trust, Georgia takes active steps to improve this for herself as well as for those around her. In her free time, Georgia participates in a range of sports including swimming, running and tennis. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Georgia is delighted to be working with Linguistic Resolutions and to be able to support more individuals through their rehabilitation, making a positive difference to their lives.
