Laura Budd
SPECIALIST SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST (NEUROLOGY)
Laura qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist with a BSc in Speech Sciences from UCL in 2013. Since then, she has worked with adults with acquired neurological conditions within various NHS organisations across acute and rehabilitation settings, including most recently as the Clinical Lead for Speech and Language Therapy at East Surrey Hospital. She has extensive experience in working with clients with stroke, brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions.
Laura’s clinical interests include aphasia (language difficulties), cognitive communication disorders, dysarthria, apraxia (speech difficulties) and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). She works closely with clients and their families to provide person centered, holistic and evidence-based care. She enjoys working with clients to set meaningful goals to maximise therapy and focus on improving participation and quality of life.
