Tanaz Assefi
SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY ASSISTANT / NEURO REHAB ASSISTANT
Tanaz is a multidisciplinary artist, creative coach, and workshop facilitator with over 15 years’ experience using art as a tool for healing and self-expression. She has volunteered extensively in schools and rehabilitation settings in Greenwich, running workshops that nurture wellbeing and creativity. Her work has received community funding and focuses on supporting women, children, and families, creating safe spaces for mindfulness, reflection, and empowerment.
Drawing inspiration from mythology, dreams, and poetry, Tanaz designs workshops that encourage dialogue, self-discovery, and creative expression. Her personal experiences moving from Iran to the UK, navigating grief, and raising a teenage autistic son have shaped her understanding of neurodiversity and informed her empathetic, person-centred approach.
Passionate about the therapeutic potential of art, Tanaz is pursuing an MA in Art Psychotherapy at Roehampton University. She brings strong practical skills in creative facilitation, active listening, and empathic attunement. She aspires to become an Art Psychotherapist, dedicated to fostering wellbeing, resilience, and connection through creativity, collaboration, and community engagement.
