Jude Berraondo

specialist Speech & Language Therapist (neurology)

Jude qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist, with a BSc in Speech Science from UCL in 2005.  Since then she has worked with adults and older children with acquired neurological disorders in a range of settings, both private and NHS.

From 2011 onwards, she has worked exclusively in the private setting with adults and older children with acquired brain injury.  She is skilled at working with complex cases and delivering good therapy outcomes - particularly in cases where previous therapy has not been able to get established.  Her particular interest is Traumatic Brain Injury, but she is also highly experienced with stroke and progressive conditions.

In 2019, Jude completed a Masters in Advanced Practice Speech, Language and Communication and is up-to-date on the latest research and innovations for Speech, Language and Swallowing therapy.  Since 2021 she has been studying part-time for a  Professional Doctorate in Speech and Language Therapy, due to graduate in 2026. Her area of research is Cognitive Communication changes after Traumatic Brain Injury. 

She advocates for the use of technology in rehabilitation and is able to advise on the use of communication aids accessed via switch, touch or eye gaze and the use of tablets such as iPads for therapy.
